HE Never Changes

I have had several recent conversations with friends, and one in particular, who is very disappointed in people and in God.

I have several thoughts on this subject:

1. People are sinful. People disappoint.

2. God can use anyone to bring Himself glory. (to show who He is)

3. I don't understand God. I am glad I don't. As our youth minister said Sunday, " I am glad I serve a God that I don't understand."

4. Jesus LOVES you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus LOVES me! His love for me is not based on what I do or how I act. God IS Love! I don't have to earn His love!

5. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever." Hebrews 13:8
James 1:17 says, "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who DOES NOT CHANGE like shifting shadows."

Great post... we can all be disappointed sometimes and life sometimes gets us down, but God never changes. He is our healer and can do all things...

So true! I loved what one of our worship leaders said recently...something like, "We serve a God who never changes, yet He is constantly making all things new! He's the same, but His mercies are new EVERY morning!"

Oh, how glad I am that God's love towards me is not based on my actions but purely and solely on HIS love for me!!! What a glorious truth!!

This has such clarity, the truth is so revealed, God has spoken clearly through you. Your words are an encouragement, I hope your friend sees them and clings to them.

If we understood everything about God then He wouldn't be God. We aren't meant to understand everything....I don't think our hearts and minds could take it! He alone is God! And I am thankful for that!
