The PURRRRFECT Cat

I have wanted the girls to have a kitten that they could love and play with.  Kristen will not have anything to do with the girls.  Emily has prayed and prayed to have a kitten to love.  I think we got one!
Emily yelled for me to come see "something cute!"  I found Frisco pinned down in a doll highchair eating Kitten Chow.  I feel like Sarah Kate is SOOOO rough with him, but he seems okay with it.  He purrs during it all.  I always thought purring was a sign of a happy cat.  Although SK nearly squeezes him to death and he closes his eye he still purrs. I read a couple of weeks ago on the internet that cats often purr as they are dying or are in great pain.  This explains a lot!!!!!

lol - I thought purring was good too! Whoops! The girls look very happy and he seems like he could care less about the high chair! Looks like something my Sofia would do for sure!

I always thought purring was good too. It looks like he is patient at least :)

If this makes you feel any better, we got our outdoor cat as a kitten and my kids did the same thing as your girls. I'm talking wheelbarrow rides, rides down the hill on a skateboard and many many clothes put on him. He's 3 years old now and loves my kids so much. He follows them around the yard like a dog would and is just the best cat I could ever imagine for my kids.
Maybe the Internet was wrong about the purring. Hope so. :)

I sincerely hope you are teaching SK to be respectful and gentle with animals! This is one way children get bit. Animals have a heartbeat, too.

my sister did the same thing to our cat when she was little - just two or three years old. that cat was so calm, she rode around in the baby buggy, wore bonnets, was carried around by her neck (eek!) by my sister.

i'm glad your girls found the perfect kitten. isn't it sad that they have to grow up (the cat and the girls!)

I'm sure the cat is purring with contentment. Cats definitely know how to protect themselves! She seems like a real sweetheart!
