A Good Hair Day!

Scissors have not touched this little head of hair since last April when Emily cut her own hair. We have been trying to let it "grow up"as Emily says. Today Emily and Sarah Kate got their hair cut. This was SK's first haircut. She did SOOOOO good. They both did good. I thought they were good, but Bekah, on the other hand, may be in bed right now taking tranquilizers. Sarah Kate moved around a bunch. Bekah has cut my hair for years. She is the only one I will let touch this fizzledust hair of mine. Sarah Kate has just taken the chair. The result. She wanted to go back for more! Suckers as a reward from Bekah. A merry -go -round for Emily. Giving Krazy Kristen a treat. A few of you had asked where the dresses came from. They are from the Happy Heart in Arlington, TN. My MIL got them for the girls.

Emily's Birthday Party Weekend

We celebrated Emily's 4th Birthday on Saturday. Our house has been filled with people that Emily LOVES!!!!!!!!!!! Neely was the first to arrive at Emily's party. Neely just turned two, but Emily is crazy about her. Emily wanted to invite Neely to her Birthday. She is showing some rings that were in the favor bags. Emeri Me and my Mama Steve and his parents I love this picture of the Stamps! Me and my parents. Baby sister enjoying some cake. Emily did not take one bite of cake or ice-cream. She said it was old. Who knows???? Korbyn and Sarah Grace Emily and her dear "friend boy" Baylor Four Years! Baylor's Mama, Beth. Beth and I grew up together. Now, I am so blessed that she lives here. Jaimi and Jordyn Sarah Grace Caleb and Clay Jackson Emily looking at the "old" cake and ice cream. Kelly, Maegan and Harper Harper had a delightful time at the party. My sweet neighbors Reese and June.

The Cage

Several months ago when Emily was having trouble staying in her room at night, we purchased a gate to go across her door. I use it at night and at nap time. I have always called it her "gate." Recently Emily has been calling it her "cage." In the mornings, she calls for me to "open her cage" or "let her out of her cage." Right before Christmas our music ministers wife stopped by one afternoon to drop something off for me. Emily heard me talking and began yelling LOUDER AND LOUDER and LOUDER...."Let me out of the cage!!!!!!!!!!!"....."Mom, open my cage!!!!!!" I was really chawed and knew the kind lady wondered what kind of goings on we had at our house. I did try to explain to her what Emily meant. Emily loves to go to Petsmart and see the animals (cats) in cages. I think this is where she gets it from. She is a funny girl!

Happy 2010

We went with Kelly and Scott to the movies today. Our sweet babysitter earned her money! Kelly and I saw Blindside. It was my second time to see it. I LOVE IT! Emily is posing for me on New Years Eve. Emily on her Birthday. She wanted to go to the Christian Chicken(Chick-fil-A) for her Birthday dinner. She ate about two bites and then played on the playground with an eight year and a 10 year old girl. Emily told them she was 7. The girls were strangers, but they were so sweet to E. Sarah Kate wanted all of Emily's gifts. This is what went on with every toy Emily opened. This is Emily singing at church a few weeks ago. She loves to perform! They are singing "Do You Know Why it's Christmas?" Emily put her all into it! Every time they sang" do you know why?", she would do her hands up like this.

December 29th

Four years ago tonight we had just checked into the hospital to have this precious baby girl. She was born at 3:17 a.m. on Dec 29th. It was one of the VERY best days of my life! I never knew how much I would love Emily Paige. I never knew being a parent would be so hard. Kelly took these pictures the day she was born. I look at them often and think about how MUCH I love that sweet little thing. We never knew she would be so funny. I am afraid that a 4 year old cannot be as funny as a 3 year old. I hope I am wrong. Emily has some crazy names for her stuffed animals. I have written a few of them down so I can remember. I have heard her say these names: Nia, Chilla, Cheena and just a few minutes ago she said, "One day I gonna have a baby girl and I gonna name her Doe-Leah, You think that be a fretty name?" I told her yes. I was just trying to be nice. I SURE hope her taste in names changes by the time she gives me a grandchild. Last night Emily helped me make ...

Happy Birthday Kelly!

A VERY Happy Birthday to my best friend and sister. It is sooo great to have a friend that I can be myself 100% and you still love me! Ha! You make me laugh more than anyone! I admire you more than you will ever know. I know your day will be great! I know there is some way to make this show up tomorrow, but you know I don't know how to do it. I love you!

Merry Christmas!

I wish I could say that Sarah Kate is pointing to heaven and saying "Jesus." That would be appropriate since we are celebrating His birth, but that would be a lie. She is saying," NO, NO!!!!" This her favorite thing to say lately. I don't know how to stop it. She points her chubby finger and says, "no, no" all the time. I just had to get some pictures of the girls in their new Christmas dresses before church.

And The Winner Is.............................

Clinique Happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The second runner up is Escada Into the Blue! The search is over, until next Christmas. I realize that most people don't put this much time, effort and research into buying a car. We went to the mall as a family today. Steve is soooooo kind and generous. He decided that since we like both of these a whole lot that he would just get me two. That is sooo him. I am so happy with my final choice. I doubt they sell more than about two bottles of Into the Blue a year, but I love the smell........ crisp and clean. It is so me to find some unheard of fragrance to love. I always seem to order things at restaurants that they have to dig out of the back of the freezer. Like meatloaf or something along the lines of that. Instead of going for a Coke or something normal, I will buy some Peach Nectar that has dust on it. You get my point. Steve did say that he hoped I would not remind him of Orange Pledge or orange dish detergent wearing the Happy. Oh well...
