Party and a Find!

The girls went to Harper's birthday party on Saturday. They had a wonderful time! The adults had a wonderful time visiting!

Thank you again for your help with my kitchen table. You have been so helpful to me! "Em," thank you so much for being honest about your disappointment in the finish. That was a big red flag.

I bought a table today!
Spur of the moment stop on my way to a hair appointment.
Antique shop.
Walked in the door and I saw "the one."
I have NO chairs to go with it, but it was a deal!!!! I could not pass it up!
Could not strap it to the top of my car......Haha!
Have a friend that is going to pick it up in the next couple of days!
Now....for the chairs.............................

Just thought I'd let you know that we got my aunts table when we were married, my dad re finished it but all the chairs that went to it had broken over the years. We found chairs at World Market and have had them for five years now. They are strong and sturdy. They have held up really well. I love them. They also have benches there. I recommend looking there to see if they might have anything you like.

I am so glad you were able to find the perfect one for you! I removed a post I followed up with saying I loved the chairs and they held up well until I remembered that all of the backs broke (the lightweight criss cross part) very easily...but the rest of the chair itself is fabulous and I love how well we 'fit' in the chairs. Maybe I just had bad luck with my table being so easily prone to bubbling, but I thought a kitchen table should be able to withstand a teenager eating cereal, dripping small drops of milk, and walking away (to leave mom to wipe it a few hours later) and not bubble!

Can't wait to see pics! :)
