Little Bit of This-Little Bit of That

This week has been full. But, it has been a good kind of busy.

We had a wonderful church service on Sunday morning. It was DNOW weekend and we had Ed Newton as the preacher and Jeff Johnson as the worship leader. It was just amazing. What an honor to have these men in our church. As Ed Newton said,"God showed up and showed off."
We also had 28 youth get baptized. Steve and I help with the baptisms once a month. This weekend was our time to serve. It was so neat to be a part of something like that. We ran out of towels and robes, but it was a good kind of problem to have.

This morning we had women's Bible study. It is always a favorite part of my week. We are doing Faithful, Abundant, True. The study features Kay Arthur, Priscilla Shirer and Beth Moore. It has been GREAT! If your church offers a Bible study, I would encourage you to participate.

When I did my post about my favorite musicians, I KNEW I would leave some favorites out.
Here are a few more people that I consider musical genius:

Scott Krippayne
Justin Rosolino
Jim Brickman
Norah Jones
Edwin McCain
David Cook

Some little friends came over last night to play..... Drew and Alex. Emily has never had guest over that she did not put on a princess dress and jewelry. She also wore a cat tail last night...pink one.

Emily told me the other day that her hair "is not really curly and not really straight, it is just wiggly". She is right!

Happy Anniversary to my parents today! They have been married for 41 years. They have been a wonderful example of what a good, Christ-like marriage looks like! I am so thankful!

Norah Jones is one of my all time favorites, too! I tried to listen to her music in labor. That was when I thought I was in labor but not really. In labor, I think I thought about throwing the headset across the room. Not even Norah distracted me then :)
Peace.

I love it- "wiggly!" My parents will celebrate 39 years next week- such a blessing to have parents that have been loyal to their promise!

Sometimes I just laugh at all the things we have in common. My parents just had their anniversary too. 41 years and Justin and Steve's parents will be 40 years I believe. We really have great examples around us. We are thinking about going to see Beth, Kay and Priscilla in Bham in December. We had a great time seeing Priscilla this past weekend. If you get the chance don't miss it. It was wonderful. Give those girls a hug and kiss from me.

I commented on your last post about Dave Barnes and now i have to comment about Justin Rosolino! I love him too :) All those Nashville boys are great. One of my best friends from high school moved down there and does tour managing for all those guys. Love that you are promoting them!
My favorite Sesame Street (I have 20 DVR'ed) is the one with Norah Jones singing "Don't Know Why Y Didn't Come".
