Fountain of Youth?

I think I may have found a miracle for my face!  I went to Sephora last week to get some powder.  I had some points on my card, so I could receive a free gift.  I usually don't get too excited about the gift, so I usually turn it down.
I have been using this little sample pack for a week now and I think my face looks better, my make-up stays on better and I am way less oily!!!!!!  I have REALLY oily skin.  Make-up does not stay on my nose very well because my nose is so oily.
The face wash makes your face tingle,  it is like it has peppermint in it!  I love the feeling and it wakes me up.  Then I use the toner.  I have never in my life used a toner.  The last step is a moisterizing gel.  All this seems to do the trick for me.  I think I am going to buy the big set when I run out of this sample.
Have you ever used these Clinique products?????

We all got our hair cut yesterday!  I LOVE getting my hair cut!  I love how Emily's looks and it is going to make it so much easier to deal with!

A lot of my friends have used toner, etc...
I have never been one to really use a lot of makeup (Bare Essentials) and I bought Kiehl's eye make up remover and their moisturizer.
Your girls are so sweet!

I have very oily skin too, and I love Clinique skin care! It's very gentle, but I always love how my skin feels after I use it. I love the Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser- it's frothy mousse cleanser that leaves your skin feeling almost squeaky clean! I also love the City Block Oil Free Face Protector spf 40. I am really pale and I burn easily so this is my daytime moisturizer. It has a little bit of tint to it but it feels very lightweight on your skin and absorbs so well. I love the gel moisturizer at night time. And the toner helps to exfoliate any flakiness. Can you tell I'm a Clinique fanatic?! You also have to try to Chubby Stick lip balms- they are so lightweight and the color really lasts. Your lips will feel so good!

I use Clinique, but I have dry skin. I like Clinique because it doesn't feel heavy and they don't use animals in their testing process. My face really does look better if I stick with it for a few days! ....and I am old....

I love Clinique! My best friend used it in college and turned me onto it - I've been using the 3-step for over 10 years now. The superpowder is also amazing.
I have used Clinique products for years and LOVE them!

I love Clinique! It seems like it doesn't break me out like some of the others do.
Cute haircuts, girls!!!
My first face cleanser was the Clinique bar soap in the green "soap house", toner and moisturizing lotion. I felt so grown up. These days my face is lucky if I wash it at all.

I love clinique and I have very oily skin as well! Try the moisture surge moisturizer - you will love it. And the chubby balms are awesome (and the almost lipsticks are great too!). I'm not wild about the oily version of their makeup remover but the other one they have is good. And the dark green tubed mascara is nice. I could go on and on....

I have used Clinque for years and love it! Also, about twice a year they have a special at Dillards, Belks and Macys where when you purchase around $21 or so you get a little cosmetic bag with samples...the samples are usually things you can use, too! You won't be disappointed.

I have used Clinique for about 5 years now. I love their face wash and their makeup products as well. They always seem to be giving away freebies too which is now. I enjoy reading your blog. I found you through Kelly's Korner.

I've been using Clinique since I was 16 and now I am 33. I use the 3 step, their makeup and now some of the anti aging products. :) I won't buy anything else. I love it all! Plus be sure to take the others' advice and wait to buy when they have the free gift! I hope you find more products you love and keep up your 3 step routine. I guarantee that if you stop you will be able to tell the difference! I hate when I run out of toner. My skin doesn't feel right without it! Keep blogging and keeping us entertained with your stories!
Hi!

I read your blog all of the time, but I rarely comment. Emily looks so cute being a little snaggle tooth!

I love Clinique skincare products and I have used them for years. I always stock up during Clinique bonus times!

Have a great day!

I've use Clinique before years ago, but you saying that it works well for oily skin has me thinking about trying it again! My skin is SO oily. My husband loves to tease me and look at my forehead and say, "Hold still, I'm checking my reflection." It's THAT bad! Love your girls' haircuts! My daughter gets her done tomorrow and mine Saturday. Can't wait!

Something Good to Eat

Ever since Steve and I started dating, when we would go to Mississippi, his aunt would make the BEST ROAST IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!! Steve's Dad's side of the family gets together at his Granny's house for lunch every Sunday after church. The food is always sooo good!!!!!!!!!!!! I have always taken a liking to his Aunt Judy's roast. It really is the best roast I have ever had. When we were there on Labor Day weekend, my sister in law asked Aunt Judy for the recipe. Aunt Judy began naming all the ingredients. She said Ranch Dressing mix, and I bugged my eyes out and nearly chocked. I HATE RANCH DRESSING. I don't even like to be in the room with it. I had to focus on the word MIX....not the mayo and butter milk and sour cream that you add to it. Just typing those words makes me shudder. The recipe sounded awful as she rattled off the ingredients, but I promise, you have got to make this if you like a good roast. Trust me on this. Here it is: Get a tender chuck

Complicated

Maybe I am wrong, but I don't remember life being so complicated when I was in middle school. Everything is so competitive now.  Maybe it was back then and I just didn't realize it. Sarah Kate started playing city league softball a couple of weeks ago.   We've been encouraged to get her private batting lessons. When I was in third grade I started playing softball and I just did it for fun!  No stress at all, as far as I can remember!  I just played.  I wasn't very good, but I liked it! Ha! Emily started band this year!  Before school started, I got a letter from the school district strongly encouraging "your band student to take instrument lessons."  WHAT?  I bought into it and got Emily private clarinet lessons (which she really enjoys)! But, what happened to learning as you go?  I never thought about taking private trumpet lessons when I started band. It seems like most parents are striving for their child to be THE BEST.  I guess that's a go

Life in Pictures!

Emily is enjoying her first year in band.  I am very impressed with her playing skill! Sarah Kate was recently awarded the empathy award at her school.  She is very deserving of this! Here we are before the Cotillion Holly Ball.
