Little House on the Prairie

There is a good reason that I always take so many pictures of Sarah Kate in her high-chair: It is the only place she sits still for a picture. She can't get away. Excuse the banana on her upper lip. Sarah Kate with the food she could eat all day, everyday: A Ritz cracker Emily posing for the camera. I have to share some exciting news!!!!!!!!! Little House on the Prairie began airing at 5:00 p.m. on TV Land last Monday. I can't tell you how thrilled I am!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is my all-time FAVORITE T.V. show. In my opinion, it is the best show ever. In most all the episodes, they pray, mention Jesus, go to church, teach a life lesson. The children say, "yes, mam" and "yes, sir" Emily likes the show too. But, her favorite character is Nellie. She calls her the "mean girl." I will work on this. I wish there were more shows like Little House.

A Tale of Two Tummies

Little Emily had her first day of preschool today. She met lots of new friends and her teacher said she had a great day. I know she is going to love it. Emily eats a bird amount of food. There are days she eats about 10 bites total. I have NEVER heard her say, "I'm hungry." Baby sister, on the other hand, LOVES to eat. If I don't get the Yobaby yogurt to her mouth fast enough she says "go!" Yesterday, we went to Wendy's for lunch. Emily ate one bite of a cheeseburger and maybe two french fries. Sarah Kate ate half of a cheeseburger. I broke it into little bites and after each bite, she would say,"go!" We were driving out of the parking lot and Emily remarked, "that food was yummy!" Who knows?????? She did NOT take after her mother.

First Birthday Pictures!

This week, I had Sarah Kate's one year old picture made. We are two months late getting it taken. She is always bumping her head or scratching herself or a flair up with baby acne, etc. These, along with being busy delayed her one year photo shoot. I took her on Tuesday afternoon and it was an ordeal. I was worn out and sweating when it was all said and done. She would not sit, would not stay in place, tried to get away, you name it. Here is Emily on her one year birthday. Do you think my girls look alike???????? I think they look different, but I think they look like sisters. I took these pics before we left the house this morning. It is soooooo hard to get them to both look at me and smile for a picture.

Girls Night Out

Last night I went with the girls in our Sunday school class to see "The Time Traveler's Wife." We had a great time being out and being at the movies. I loved the fellowship but did not love the movie. I like realistic movies. I look forward to us doing this again soon. I love the girls in this group!!!!!!!!! I am so thankful for what each one of them bring to our SS class and my life. Emily had her very first dance class this week. She was soooo excited. But.......Emily wanted to do her "own " thing in the class. The moves she liked, she continued to do them after they had moved on to the next thing. She kept migrating to the big mirrors to see herself a little better. I spent most of the time on the side, motioning for her to listen to the teacher and get back on her tape. We are going to have a "sit down talk" before next week's class.

Friends and Reid

I was able to spend time today with some of my favorite girls in the world. Our little friend , Baylor and his parents came over tonight. Emily loves Baylor! You can see his feelings for her. HA HA! I am in love! Here is my darling nephew, Reid.

Never a Dull Moment

We are about to have a new baby in our family....................................................................................................................and it is not from me! We are so excited because my sister in law is going to be induced in the morning. Baby Reid will be born sometime tomorrow. I have never been a "real " Aunt before. I can't wait. I know he will be beautiful! Emily always "over" smiles in her pictures, showing every tooth in her head. I told her to just look normal. This is her normal. Emily has some funny sayings lately: When Steve and I are talking about something she says, "What you speaking of?" She tells me at least twenty time a day that she is a big girl and she also says,"I is a girl." She is very proud to be a girl. She is also hung up on saying,"you think that be a great idea?" For example: "I going to watch Barney, you think that be a great idea?" " I going to eat dinn

Animals Galore

On Friday, I went with Beth and Baylor to the Wild Wilderness Drive Through Safari in Gentry, Ar. We had such a fabulous time! We saw every kind of animal you can think of. What do you think Emily's favorite exhibit was???????????????? These two kittens. Yes. She ran up to them calling out," ohhh Sweeties" "Darling" "Little Friends." This was the highlight for my girl! She also LOVED riding this pony! It is so interesting to watch a chimpanzee. We stood right here for about 30 minutes. Look at the beautiful 3 month old lion cub. Beth put her fingers in it's mouth. Beth was very impressed with herself and kept saying," I have my hand in a lions mouth." It is pretty cool to think about that little cub will be about 500 lbs in a year. Emily went in the cage with him. I had lots of reservation about Emily petting this lion, but then I thought, our own cat is of more harm than this lion cub. A baboon in a diaper and sucking a bo

Playgroup

Kelly hosted our playgroup today. She is always hostess with the mostess. I knew her meal would NOT disappoint. It was ohh soo good and I fell in love with the gaucamole. It was my kind of meal. Harper did not know what to think about all the people at her house. Jenna and Brayden. Harper was wearing one of my most favorite outfits of all times. My Little Pony. Emily had a fit over it! I wish I had gotten a better picture of her in it. The tutus were busted out. The girls were in bliss. Harper taking it all in. She looks sooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!! Neely joined in the fun with a tutu. Emily adores Neely. Jaimi with Jordan and Jackson. John Michael. He and SK are the same age. Crawling Kinley Jackson, Alex and Emily Caleb The new babies. Vonda with Brandon and Robin with Caleb. For 3 years, I would always give Kelly a playgroup report on Thursdays. I always looked forward to the day she could be there. So neat for her to be able to host today. It was great!
