Glasses and Such

My girls LOVE glasses.  I don't know what the fascination is, but they always pick up my reading glasses and go look at themselves in the mirror.  I started wearing glasses when I was three, it is NOT that fun, girls!  I think SK looks like Mrs. Doubtfire in these. My best gift to myself this year:  a Pottery Barn robe from the PB outlet store in Memphis.  It is money well spent.  The girls always say, "you are so soft and cozy."  Best robe I have ever had!!!! Thank you for the helpful tips about Caroline's hair.  I am so glad I mentioned that. Also, the Bible cover came from a store in Camden, Ar.

Gift Review: A Few of our Favorite Things

This lip gloss is from Bath and Body Works and I LOVE it!!!!  It taste just like Doublemint gum.  It is super sweet and has a tingle to it! American Girl's Bitty Baby for Sarah Kate.  She LOVES her and calls her by her name "Bitty Baby."  Emily loves her new Caroline doll, but has stressed because her hair has gotten messed up.  Good thing she came with a bonnet. This works well, but the parent has to do it all and it is some trouble.  Tastes really good, though .One of my favorite gifts:  a Bible cover

Christmas Night

We spent Christmas evening with K-Kay's side of the family.  We had a great time!!!!  Jon smoked some great meat!  I ate way too much! This bedroom made me happy to know we are not the only ones with toy overload! I love this picture of my sweet in-laws. Steve and Uncle Charlie

Happy Birthday

A very special Happy Birthday to my daddy today! He is one of the kindest, smartest and Godly men you could ever meet! Happy Birthday Daddy/-Granddaddy,  we love you and hope you have a great day!

The Gym

The gym. I mentioned the other day that I had joined a gym.  I have really enjoyed it.  I feel like I am doing something good for myself and it is a great place to people watch.  I know a few people that work out there. Steve and I went to Academy Sports on Saturday night and I got some very sporty, athleticy looking workout costumes.  There is nothing about me that is sporty or athletic, but I wanted to look the part.  Ya know, "fake it, till you can make it." I have been wearing a ball hat to work out in.  I have not seen one other person there is a hat.  Not one.  I wear it, because I don't want to scare anyone with my hair.  I have maybe 50 hairs on my head and what I do have is little fizzle dust.  It is presentable if I wash and fix it, but not to roll out of bed and be seen in public. Everyone tells me not to over do it at the gym.  None of those people need to worry.  I am taking it super slow, so I won't dread going.  I have only done the treadmill, but I

Friends Post

Thank you to all the caring readers who helped me figure out the picture loading.  We uploaded Google Chrome and now I can post pictures!  Thanks for the help!  This post is all about friends.  I feel like we have been celebrating friendship over the past week.  SO thankful for my friends and for my girls friends.  I have to add that Kelly and I have been doing some things I never thought would happen.  Sunday night Kelly ate venison steak for the first time and petted Kristen the cat.  Never thought I would ever see those things!  AND.....I joined a gym!!!!  Miracle.

Happy New Year

Sarah Kate is saying," wait a minute, Mama can't post any pictures on her blog, but she is working to find the solution." I have no idea why, but I can't post any pictures on my blog except old pictures from past posts.  I love this picture of SK circa 2008. I will try in again in the morning. Hoping your new year is off to a great start.  It was back to reality today in our house. My new reality is joining a gym.  I have not been in one in NINE years.

Christmas Day

I was so excited for the girls to get up Christmas morning.  So excited, that I woke them up.  I was anxious to see their faces and  their excitement about what Santa brought.  A little Christmas coloring as the adults opened their gifts.  Steve read the Christmas story from the book of Luke.  Emily got really excited when she opened her horse.  Stocking time Steve and his brother, Justin showing off their Atari games.
