If Its Not OneThing, Its Another

I finally took some pictures of my little ballerina at dance class. She did much better this week. She LOVES taking dance and Sarah Kate and I love watching her dance.

SK is a good baby. She stays in this stroller every week for one hour and watches Emily. I know if I let her get out of the stroller she will be all over the place.

I did my post last time about my love for Little House, well............................TODAY, it did not come on. It was the Andy Griffith Show. ( I have never been a fan) I was mad and sad. I had a little fit. Emily said, "the good show not on?" I am hoping this was a one time mess up or something. I will be a nervous wreck tomorrow at 5:00 wondering if it will come back on. Last year, I fell in love with the Take Home Chef on TLC. Wouldn't you know?.....they dropped that show after a few months. Sadness for me!
I have been watching bits and pieces of The Police Women of Broward County. It is pretty interesting. I started thinking about if I were a police woman. Those of you who know me well can get a good laugh at that. Sometimes, I like to amuse myself by thinking of me doing different things. For example, if I were on the show Wipe-Out or if I were on Making of a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader. HA HA!
As a mother, I always feel like I have something I need to be doing. If I see the light at the end of the tunnel, my girls always seem to find something else for me to do. For example........... Tonight. SK tee-teed in her highchair. (diaper leak) I got her out of the highchair and took her diaper off right there in the kitchen. I walked straight to her room to get a new diaper.(5 seconds) As I walked into the kitchen, she had tee-teed and pooped on the kitchen floor, then stepped in it...you get the picture...................ALWAYS something to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too funny! Do you get Hallmark Channel? I watch LHOTP on that channel on Cox. Thanks for the phone number today; I sure wasn't prepared at school to have to get a sub and call the pediatrician! Arden tested negative for flu and didn't have an ear infection. It's still possible it's the swine flu, but unless she gets sicker, it is just a virus of a more minor type. I will be home tomorrow and got a sub. I just decided that I am not going to stress about sick days this year; I can't help it if my children get sick. If I have to take unpaid days eventually, then I will do that. I'm still making more money teaching that before, even with some unpaid days. I am going to enjoy spending some extra one-on-one time with my girl tomorrow!

Oh wow. Poop and pee in the kitchen...I haven't had to experience that one yet! I love little girls in their ballerina outfits. Too cute, and no, I cannot picture you as a Broward County police officer!

It's on Hallmark at our house too. I've never seen it on TV Land - that's Andy every day!

I am laughing as I write this. You are right, there is never a dull moment with little ones at home. I have been watching that police woman show too. It is interesting. Those girls are tough. I am a softy. My MK has her first dance class on Thursday. I loved seeing your pictures so I know what to expect. Emily looks precious. She is so pretty. SK impressed me sitting in that stroller just watching.
This post made me laugh really really hard.
P.S. Emily looks precious in her dance outfit! I love her!
I love the dance outfits! I bet it's so fun to watch the class. Isn't it just when we think we have everything under control that they surprise us with something else? At least it's never boring!
Ahh she is to cute in her ballet outfit. I can't wait for Savi to take dance:)

ha ha...nice. That's happened to me a bunch of times too! Most recently my 2 year old has taken to peeing while in her swim suit. (never had a problem before) One day she did it like 3 times in less than 5 minutes before we could get her out to the pool. It was at my mother-in-law's house and I was...."chawed" :-)

She is so precious in her dance class! My lillian begins dance this week too and we are so excited! Sarah Kate is a patient girl, Lillian would never sit still in a stroller for that long! Have a blessed day! Ginger

Oh my word! That is too funny! (Funny for me maybe not for you!)
My college roommate and I watched Take Home Chief every afternoon at 4:00. We never missed. We wanted Curtis to come to our apartment so badly and cook for us. I'm sure the Arkadelphia Walmart would have had all the ingredients he needed! Haha!

Laurie, you make me laugh. I love your creativity. I guess being at home so much gives us time to think of lots of things. I would watch the police woman of broward county everyday and probably tape it if you were on there. hehe. I love the dance classes. I look forward to those days with Jordan. Your girls are precious.

Do you have a DVR? If you do, try setting it as a "Season Pass" or adding it as a "Wishlist" item. That way it does all the work for you and you can watch them whenever you want.

Always something to do here, too. LOL! I CAN NOT wait until EG can take dance. It just looks like so much fun for them and for the mom! =) She looks adorable in her little outfit!

What a cute ballerina! My youngest gets front seat in the stroller for gymnastics practice twice a week- what a trooper! All I can say is, at least it was in the kitchen on tile! My son took his nasty diaper off multiple times in his bed... I know, though- it's gross ANYwhere!! And I'd like to be an aerobics instructor sometimes! :)

I dread the day I have to clean tee tee and poop off of my kitchen floor and then off of my baby! Oh Laurie, bless your heart! Emily is so cute in her ballerina outfit!

I'm so sorry but I kind of laughed at the tee-teed story! Sounds messy! :-) Your girls are growing up so fast.

My friends little girls love their ballet class! They will do their "moves" and tell me the correct name for them!

Something Good to Eat

Ever since Steve and I started dating, when we would go to Mississippi, his aunt would make the BEST ROAST IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!! Steve's Dad's side of the family gets together at his Granny's house for lunch every Sunday after church. The food is always sooo good!!!!!!!!!!!! I have always taken a liking to his Aunt Judy's roast. It really is the best roast I have ever had. When we were there on Labor Day weekend, my sister in law asked Aunt Judy for the recipe. Aunt Judy began naming all the ingredients. She said Ranch Dressing mix, and I bugged my eyes out and nearly chocked. I HATE RANCH DRESSING. I don't even like to be in the room with it. I had to focus on the word MIX....not the mayo and butter milk and sour cream that you add to it. Just typing those words makes me shudder. The recipe sounded awful as she rattled off the ingredients, but I promise, you have got to make this if you like a good roast. Trust me on this. Here it is: Get a tender chuck

Complicated

Maybe I am wrong, but I don't remember life being so complicated when I was in middle school. Everything is so competitive now.  Maybe it was back then and I just didn't realize it. Sarah Kate started playing city league softball a couple of weeks ago.   We've been encouraged to get her private batting lessons. When I was in third grade I started playing softball and I just did it for fun!  No stress at all, as far as I can remember!  I just played.  I wasn't very good, but I liked it! Ha! Emily started band this year!  Before school started, I got a letter from the school district strongly encouraging "your band student to take instrument lessons."  WHAT?  I bought into it and got Emily private clarinet lessons (which she really enjoys)! But, what happened to learning as you go?  I never thought about taking private trumpet lessons when I started band. It seems like most parents are striving for their child to be THE BEST.  I guess that's a go

Life in Pictures!

Emily is enjoying her first year in band.  I am very impressed with her playing skill! Sarah Kate was recently awarded the empathy award at her school.  She is very deserving of this! Here we are before the Cotillion Holly Ball.
